How it all started
More was born with the idea of giving clients free bookkeeping software, training, and support in return for good quality and up to date data.
Our tagline was “making every second count” which was about using time more effectively to impact client’s lives.
Hundreds of accountants joined us and thousands of small businesses benefited.
We invented the idea of bundling free bookkeeping software into a fixed price package and pricing bookkeeping on the transaction. But, more than that, we developed a commitment to helping accountants do more for their clients than basic compliance.
What we did
In 2016 we started to develop a business advisory methodology with a software tools to help accountants deliver results .
With new software in place and the market is moving in our direction the time is right for More to be a leader in the advisory movement.
More is no longer about finding the time to deliver added value BUT about helping accountants deliver more value.
Our technology enables accountants to help their clients envision their future, having better meetings and execute their strategy. Our target market is accounting firms who want to do more for their clients.
But things changed
The market changed; Xero launched along with KashFLow, FreeAgent and other Cloud Accounting solutions. The competition was everywhere and moving fast and we weren’t fast enough.
We fell behind and, although our software has a loyal following of users who love us, and we’re getting ready for Making Tax Digital, we’ve watched some users switch to Cloud accounting systems and our relevance has diminished.
But, all the while we continued to innovate with the purpose of helping accountants do more for clients. And, we began to focus that innovation on software to help accountants deliver more value.
Our vision and values
We believe that the best relationships are when values and vision are aligned. Values are the most important because the vision can change but value don’t.
Our vision is for accountants to help make every business remarkable. Our core values are to be open and honest (with yourself and others), treat everyone fairly (including yourself) and always do the right thing.
We are accountable to the vision and values on a daily basis and come back to them when we need to make decisions.
